The function of hydraulic solenoid valve

Generally speaking, solenoid valves can be mainly divided into hydraulic solenoid valves for hydraulic circuits, air solenoid valves for pneumatic circuits, or solenoid valves that only use electromagnetic force, and so on.

Among them, the hydraulic solenoid valve controls the flow of hydraulic pressure generated from the hydraulic pump, in order to start, stop, change the direction of movement of the operating device, etc.

Hydraulic solenoid valves can be used as operating devices for automatic transmissions in vehicles. The automatic transmission includes multiple friction components, such as clutches and brakes that achieve various transmission gears through hydraulic operation. That is, the hydraulic solenoid valve controls the operation of the friction components. Especially when the hydraulic solenoid valve is installed on the engine clutch of a hybrid vehicle, the operation of the hydraulic solenoid valve determines the basic performance of a hybrid vehicle that selectively connects the engine and electric motor.
