What are the differences between single coil and double coil of solenoid valves

On the head of the solenoid valve is a coil, which is divided into single coil and double coil. What are the differences between single coil and double coil of the solenoid valve? Below is a detailed introduction for everyone.

The difference between single coil and double coil of solenoid valves:

1. Generally, a single coil solenoid valve is a two position, several way solenoid valve, while a double coil solenoid valve is a three position, several way solenoid valve. For example, a two position four way solenoid valve is a single coil, and a three position five way solenoid valve is a double coil.

2. Single coil is controlled by one do signal, while double coil is controlled by two do signals.

3. Generally speaking, a "single coil" solenoid valve cannot stop the cylinder piston at any position, while a "double coil" solenoid valve can simply stop the piston at any point.

4. There is a distinction between dual electronic control and single electronic control. Dual electronic control means there are two electromagnetic coils, and the dual coil should usually be an electromagnetic directional valve. A single coil is always energized and the intake is open, while a double coil is instantly energized. The spool valve of a single coil solenoid valve is spring reset, and the solenoid valve automatically resets when the solenoid valve loses power. The dual coil solenoid valve requires the other coil to be energized in order to rotate.
