1. External leakage is eliminated, internal leakage is easily controlled, and the valve is safe to use. Internal and external leakage are safety hazards. Other automatic control valves typically extend the valve stem, with electric, pneumatic, or hydraulic actuators controlling the rotation or movement of the valve core. This requires addressing the problem of external leakage from the dynamic seal of the valve stem during long-term operation. However, solenoid valves utilize electromagnetic force acting on an iron core sealed within a magnetically isolated sleeve, eliminating the need for dynamic seals. Therefore, external leakage is easily eliminated. Electric valves have difficulty controlling torque, and the valve actuator is prone to internal leakage, even breaking the valve stem tip. The solenoid valve's structure makes it easy to control internal leakage to zero. Therefore, solenoid valves are particularly safe to use and are particularly suitable for corrosive, toxic, or high- and low-temperature media.
2. Simple system, easy computer connection, and low price. The solenoid valve itself has a simple structure and low price, making it easier to install and maintain than other types of actuators, such as control valves. More significantly, the resulting automatic control system is much simpler and less expensive. Because the solenoid valve is controlled by on/off signals, it is very convenient to connect to an industrial control computer. In today's era of widespread computer use and significantly reduced prices, the advantages of solenoid valves are even more pronounced.
3. Fast operation, low power consumption, and compact size. Solenoid valve response times can be as short as a few milliseconds, and even pilot-operated solenoid valves can operate within tens of milliseconds. Because they operate in their own circuit, they are more sensitive than other automatic control valves. A properly designed solenoid valve coil consumes very little power, making it energy-efficient. It can also automatically maintain the valve position upon triggering, consuming no power at all. Solenoid valves are compact, saving space while being lightweight and aesthetically pleasing.
4. Limited adjustment accuracy and limited media compatibility. Solenoid valves typically have only two states: on/off. The anti-frost level gauge valve core can only be set to two extreme positions and cannot be continuously adjusted, thus limiting adjustment accuracy. Solenoid valves have high requirements for media cleanliness and are not suitable for media containing particles. Any impurities must be filtered out first. They are also not suitable for viscous media, and certain products are suitable for a relatively narrow range of media viscosities.
5. A wide variety of models and applications. Although solenoid valves have inherent shortcomings, their advantages are still very outstanding. Therefore, they are designed into a variety of products to meet various different needs and have a wide range of uses. The progress of solenoid valve technology is also centered around how to overcome its inherent shortcomings and how to better utilize its inherent advantages.
